Last year, I came to Buenos Aires to learn Spanish. Although there is a lot of material out there to learn Spanish, I struggled to find material specifically related to Spanish from Argentina. I really wish I had this book then! The book does a great job of teaching Spanish. It's written very straight forward and easy to understand in English. So an English reader can easily understand "why" things are a certain way in Spanish. It also highlights what things are different about Spanish in Argentina. Whether you want to learn regular Spanish or Spanish from Argentina, this book is the perfect place to start. The book is basically fine but the Kindle edition is full of bothersome errors. Some words are misspelled. Also, some of the answers to the exercises are wrong or mislabeled. Closer editing is needed. That said, the book, overall, is fine, though the errors can mislead or misinform the beginner. A true beginner in Spanish should probably not buy it.
